I am currently working on the blueprint of an ebook with the working-title, "How to write the obsolescence-free HR Manual"
The book is an 'how to' based on the premise that many companies do not have their own HR manual and those that do, farm out the work to a copywriter when the best person to write it is one of the guys in HR itself! The other benefit of the book is that even those companies that do have a manual in place, can use my system for keeping it 24/7 up-to-date without having to wait for the annual reprint.
I intend self-publishing it in ebook (Acrobat PDF) format on my website since it is targeted at an international audience and preliminary research into overseas markets seems promising. The book is now in the blueprint stage and I should be able to flesh it out, edit and proof-read in 3 months' time.
Views, comments & suggestions on the topic as well as on the selection of electronic publishing over the traditional 'ink-on-paper' route are invited.
